Who is A Role Model and My Mentor?

Who is A Role Model and My Mentor?
It was this beautiful Saturday morning with my friends, it was as blissful as New, we engaged ourselves with old gist, like back then in secondary school, how had things turned out marvelously this way and lots more. During this discussion, one of us Said The president's wife was her Mentor and none should speak unfair about her! A moment of silence rocked the discussion, as in, what has she just said? Then another asked, who do you know as a Mentor? What do you mean by the Vice president's wife is your Mentor?
I like to specially dedicate this article to my lovely friend and to you out there who is still mixing up who is your Role Model and Mentor, they really work together to a greater extent, but let's call a spade a spade! Relax as we go on the ride...

A Role Model can be anybody, you admires and wants to be like, professionally or other wise. Its not a must for you to know him/her as a close friend or colleague!

Personally I admires MR. Henry Bill Gates(CEO Microsoft Entp...) , does it mean I visit him everyday or he knows me too or I want to be 100% like him? NO. People who are professionals are mostly individuals advised to be chosen as Role Models, not a close family member or friends. A Role Model is that person who inspires you by their
actions, belief, achievements, to a greater extent a Role Model has a fragment attribute of what you want to be or an height you want to attain in Life.
A Role Model is like a silent teacher, who you learn from without having a class with him/her, he is more of a correct example for aspiring individuals to work with. The combination of "Role + Model" simply explains the behavior individuals try to possess.
Talking about Mentor! I have numerous Mentors but My No.1 Mentor is my secondary Vice principle, I learn a lot from him even up till now. Nowadays individuals link Mentors and Role Models as one entity! Seriously it
pissed me off when I heard a friend said that on the above conversation.
A Mentor is a trusted Adviser as prostrated by the oxford dictionary.
He takes an active role in guiding you either in Life goals or with specific career jobs, educational aims.
Mentors are not always Role Model but a Role Model can never be a Mentor!
Mentors are one of the helpers that won't make you a leper as you ply the path of your Role Model
A Mentor gives abundant Advice, Time, Gifts and solutions to difficult situations.
Mentor-ship is more of a personal relationship and close contact unlike the Model you hardly connect with! Role models this days varies with age, but a Mentor of yours is advisable to be Older than you, due to experience wise and available reservoir of ideas. Your grand Pa, Older relatives or even your Teacher are entities to be regarded as Mentors.
One unique issue about Mentors is that they keep constant communication with you, as you strive to achieve the position of your Role Model!...
Recently someone asked me, who is Jesus to him? I was mute for some minutes, till it got to me that draw closer To him and he will to you, but when you don't he will just look like a Role Model to you, but when you accept him he will be your Role Model and Mentor, Christ is the only entity the world has that can play both roles. that defines my quote "Mentors are not always Role Model but a Role Model can never be a Mentor!"

  3. True role models are those who possess the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people while someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person is a mentor.
